We are seeking an experienced care professional to a join a highly reputable and award- winning company as a Deputy Care Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a care professional or team lead, who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to take the next step in their career. The role will be based at the company’s offices in Surrey but will also involve field visits, so the candidate must hold a driver’s licence and have their own transport.
As Deputy Care Manager, you will play a vital role, supporting the smooth, compliant, and high-quality running of the company’s services. Working directly with the Registered Manager and wider team, you will help ensure that every client receives compassionate and consistent care and that every care professional feels valued, guided and supported.
Main responsibilities
Support care professionals through supervision, mentoring, and personal development planning. Carry out quality assurance visits, client reviews and health & safety assessments. Monitor care plans, oversee risk assessments and ensure all care complies with regulations. Build strong relationships with clients and families, providing reassurance and clear communication. Work with the management team to improve systems, processes and staff training. Help cover scheduling needs and ensure exceptional service continuity. Contribute to business planning, audits and compliance activities.
Key requirements
- Qualified at NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Health & Social Care
- Strong knowledge of adult safeguarding, risk assessment and quality compliance.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Solid understanding of person-centred care and a natural ability to motivate and guide others.
- Confidence with IT systems and report writing.
- A caring, proactive attitude and ability to problem solve under pressure.
- A full driving licence with own transport
