About the role

Key role information:

Location - Lisburn.

Working Hours - 37.5 hours per week.

Other Information - Due to a genuine occupational requirement (GOR) this position is open to female applicants only.

About The Role

What does a Support Worker do?

Put simply, you help someone live the life they want.

Some days that's cooking together, sorting the weekly shop, or getting out into the local community. Other days it's helping someone reach a goal they've been dreaming about for years. The heart of it is the relationship - getting to know someone and supporting them in a way that's truly theirs, so they have real choice and control over their own life.

The Main Responsibilities center around:

  • Providing Person Centred Support
  • Supporting People to Develop and Maintain Key Skills in relation to Housing Support
  • Supporting Independence, Social and Communication Skills
  • Some Administration such as record keeping and report completion.

Required Criteria

  • Personal or work experience of providing care or support for someone
  • Basic digital skills e.g. to record notes and use rota, HR or care systems.
  • Full, Valid UK Driving Licence to fulfil the needs of the role

Skills Needed

Data Entry and Basic Computer Skills, Building Relationships, Empathy, Ability to support clients with learning disabilities and/or complex needs, Experience working with vulnerable people, Providing personal care
