Working in the world of storage can be a tricky task, having to travel to different data sites, being on call and having to do late hours. It’s certainly no easy ask, but I have an opportunity that allows you to remain within the storage industry whilst also getting to have your time to yourself and offer the flexibility of remote working with their being the requirement to only come in once a week.
Not only this, however you’ll also get to be part of an institute where you work on tech for good, helping develop the team’s storage capabilities for their life saving medical research. You’ll be responsible for the data services which cover the whole cycle of research from end to end.
In terms of the main duties, you’ll be managing the research storage services, manage the users of the service, follow sla’s, perform backups and restores and carry out troubleshooting on VMware and Linux servers. It’s a varied role that will offer the chance to work on very high-level infrastructure and help keep you up to date with in-trend tools.
