Gatehouse operative (nights)

About the role We're looking for reliable Gate Operatives to join our team at a busy transport depot. You'll be the first point of contact for everyone arriving at the site, making sure only authorised vehicles, drivers and visitors come in and out. Key responsibilities * Controlling access at the depot gate for vehicles, visitors and drivers * Checking driver documents, CMRs and delivery paperwork * Carrying out general yard duties and housekeeping, including cleaning vehicles * Keeping accurate records and passing on any issues to the team What we're looking for * Reliable and punctual, with a strong record of turning up on time * Good attention to detail * Comfortable with paperwork and dealing with people politely and confidently * Able to work independently, including on night shifts * Previous gatehouse, security or logistics experience is welcome but not essential Available shifts We have three vacancies on fixed weekly patterns, so you'll always know your schedule in advance.
