About the role

Theatre Scrub Practitioner - Ophthalmology The Cherwell Hospital – Banbury - Oxfordshire We are seeking a registered practitioner with an interest in Ophthalmology to support our Ophthalmology suite at The Cherwell Hospital. Ideally you will also have some Orthopaedic experience or a willingness to learn this speciality. Working as part of our Theatre team to provide a high standard of efficient, individualised patient care in Ophthalmology and Orthopaedics. To train and work as a scrub practitioner for our Ophthalmology theatre suite. Be trained to perform specific Ophthalmic procedures including phaco cataract surgery and receive appropriate training & support to participate in Orthopaedic surgery. To maintain competence with regular theatre sessions as scrub practitioner. Adhering to all of Ramsay’s policies and procedures to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for patients. The Cherwell Hospital, located in Banbury, Oxfordshire was purpose built in 2006 and has been designed to combine an exceptional standard of patient accommodation with the technical equipment and facilities that modern medicine demands. The Hospital has a 40-bed inpatient unit, consisting of single or twin rooms and a day case facility. All rooms which have twin beds are single sex units ensuring privacy and dignity at all times.
