Head of Banking & Finance Solicitor – Birmingham Partner/Legal Director Level Salary: Highly Competitive Outstanding Benefits Package.

Role

• Take responsibility for leading a busy and well-established practice advising banks, alternative lenders, financial institutions, corporate borrowers, developers and investors.
• Advisè on a broad range of secured and unsecured lending transactions, acquisition finance, real‑estate finance, development finance, refinancing, asset‑based lending and corporate banking matters.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across the firm’s corporate, real‑estate, restructuring and insolvency teams to deliver commercially focused advice on complex, high‑value transactions.
• Drive the continued growth of the Birmingham banking practice by playing a pivotal role in developing client relationships, winning new work and mentoring junior lawyers.
• Contribute to the firm’s wider national banking strategy.

Candidate

• Ambitious Banking & Finance Solicitor with extensive experience gained within a leading regional, national or international law firm.
• Excellent technical ability, strong commercial awareness and an established network within the Midlands market.
• Previous experience leading teams, developing client relationships and generating new business is highly advantageous.
• Existing Partner or an ambitious Legal Director seeking a genuine route into a leadership role with the support and infrastructure of a successful national practice is suitable.
