Job Title: Engine Builder Location: Burton upon Trent Hours: 7am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 7am-1pm Friday Contract Type: long term contract, likely temp to perm. payrate: competitive. We're recruiting for experienced Engine Builders to join a specialist engineering team in Burton upon Trent. The role involves the refurbishment and rebuild of engines used in rail, marine, and industrial applications. Key Responsibilities: Strip and rebuild mechanical engine components to OEM standards Work to technical manuals and assembly specifications Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) Accurately complete job documentation and reports Maintain high health and safety standards Collaborate with other departments and support apprentices when needed Requirements: NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in motor mechanics preferred but not necessary. Experience in engine or mechanical assembly (rail/automotive ideal) Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Comfortable with manual handling and physical work Location: Workshop-based in Barton, near Burton upon Trent.
