Senior ConsultantTransport Planner - SeniorChester / Manchester / NewcastleWhat you'll doThree years' or more experience is required for this role. We'd love you to join our growing team and assist in delivering our exciting development planning projects across the country. Tasks will include: * Obtaining, analysing, and interpreting traffic data from a range of external sources * Appraising development sites in terms of their accessibility by a range of transport modes * Undertaking junction capacity assessments * Producing high quality reports including Technical Notes, Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Environmental Statement chapters and Travel Plan reports, in part or in full * Designing highway improvement schemes * Managing your own projects and clients, with as much support and training as neededQualities & attributes* A degree qualification in a relevant field and have a genuine interest and enthusiasm for transport planning * Have a thorough understanding of the principles of transport planning and a demonstrable track record of delivering high quality input * Good problem-solving skills * Excellent presentation and technical writing skills * The ability to manage your own time to meet project deadlines and budgets * The ability to use relevant industry-standard software packages * An understanding of the application of highway design standards, guidance and policy * Good technical ability * A positive attitudeWhat you'll get backYou will get to work on some very interesting and groundbreaking projects across all sectors - we are particularly active in the sustainable energy sector, and many of our projects are directly contributing to the drive towards net zero.
