Our client is a highly successful and well-established fashion supplier, renowned for delivering trend-led womenswear collections to leading UK high street retailers.

They are looking to appoint a Senior Womenswear Jersey Designer to join their talented design team, driving creative excellence and developing commercially successful collections.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, commercially Designer with a strong background in womenswear jersey, who enjoys working closely with Buyers, presenting collections and trend direction.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:
Taking ownership of womenswear jersey design across key customer accounts, developing strong and commercially relevant product ranges.
Working closely with Buyers to understand briefs, anticipate customer needs and develop product that meets both creative and commercial objectives.
Presenting trend research, seasonal concepts, colour palettes, fabrications and product ranges confidently to Buyers.
Researching current and emerging fashion trends, translating key influences into commercially relevant jersey collections.
Developing initial concepts through to detailed CADs and final product, ensuring designs are both trend-led and commercially viable.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with Buyers and key customer contacts.
Working closely with internal teams, suppliers and overseas factories throughout the product development process.
Supporting and mentoring junior members of the design team, sharing knowledge and providing creative direction where required.
Person Specification:
Previous experience as a Designer within a fashion supplier or high street environment.
Strong womenswear jersey design experience across either short lead time, long lead time, or ideally both.
Confident presenting trend direction, concepts and collections to Buyers and key stakeholders.
Strong commercial awareness with an excellent understanding of what makes a product successful within the high street market.
Strong knowledge of current and emerging womenswear trends, particularly across jersey.
Creative, commercially minded and able to develop a strong and relevant product handwriting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build strong customer relationships.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. xwzovoh
Experience working with overseas factories and suppliers throughout the product development process.
