SEN Science Teacher PRU Location: Newham, East London

Salary: £180£250 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Start Date: September 2026

Are you a Science Teacher who wants to use your subject expertise to make a genuine difference to young people who have struggled within mainstream education?

A specialist PRU in Newham is looking for an enthusiastic and resilient Science Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis.

This is an opportunity to teach Science in a small, supportive environment , where building relationships and understanding individual barriers to learning are just as important as delivering the curriculum.

The Role You will:
Teach Science across KS3/KS4 , adapting content to individual needs
Plan engaging and accessible lessons
Differentiate learning for pupils with additional needs
Build positive relationships and re-engage pupils who have struggled in mainstream
Manage behaviour using calm, consistent and restorative approaches
Support pupils to rebuild confidence in their academic ability
Monitor progress and adapt teaching accordingly
Work closely with support staff and the wider pastoral team
The Ideal Candidate We're looking for a qualified Science Teacher who is passionate about working with young people who require a different approach to education.

You will be resilient, patient and confident managing challenging behaviour , whilst still maintaining high expectations for pupils.

Experience within a PRU, AP, SEMH or SEN setting would be advantageous, but teachers from mainstream backgrounds with the right attitude are encouraged to apply. xwzovoh
