Domiciliary Care Assistant – Scarborough YO11/YO12

A Star Care is urgently recruiting compassionate and dependable Domiciliary Care Assistants to support service users in their own homes across Scarborough, particularly in YO11 and YO12. Applications are welcomed from all suitably qualified candidates. What we offer: • £13.00 per hour • £0.45 mileage payment per mile between calls • £16 weekly public-transport allowance for workers using public transport • Rolled-up holiday pay paid weekly, where applicable and shown separately • Paid shadowing at £13.00 per hour • Paid ongoing training • Busy local care rounds designed to minimise gaps • Rotas planned around your stated availability • Full-time and part-time opportunities • Immediate starts following satisfactory compliance checks Your responsibilities will include: • Supporting service users with washing, dressing and continence care • Medication prompting or assistance, once trained and authorised • Preparing meals, snacks and drinks • Supporting safe mobility within the home • Completing clear and accurate care records • Reporting changes in health or wellbeing • Treating every service user with dignity, patience and respect What we need: • A kind, reliable and professional approach • Ability to travel between care calls in YO11 and YO12 • Right to work in the UK • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check and required training • Previous home-care or care-assistant experience is desirable, although applicants with strong values may also be considered • A driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable but not essential How to apply: Apply through CV-Library and tell us your availability, how soon you can start, and whether you drive or use public transport.
