Door Set Design and Compliance Manager

Role: Door Set Design and Compliance Manager Company Description Our client is a well-established carpentry and joinery specialist delivering high-quality work in construction. Role Description The Door Set Design and Compliance Manager is a full-time, hybrid role, with flexibility for project, office and work from home. This role oversees the design process from concept through to production. This role will oversee the door set and architectural hardware design process from project award through to release to manufacture. * The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the door journey process with close coordination with the relevant suppliers and the client's design team to ensure all third-party certification and performance requirements relating to fire, acoustic and security performance are fully satisfied, documented and demonstratable to the client. * Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with clients, architects, and contractors; leading design reviews; preparing and checking drawings, specifications, and technical documentation; and providing guidance to internal design and project teams. * The Door Set Design and Compliance Manager will collaborate closely with estimating, production, and site teams to resolve design issues, manage design changes, and support efficient project delivery. * The role also involves maintaining design standards, implementing best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement in design workflows and tools. Requirements * Extensive experience and knowledge in carpentry and joinery, specifically door scheduling * Ability to work closely with clients and suppliers is a must. * Generating consistency and control from design to delivery. * Managing the coordination of components and interfaces. * Have a strong understanding of legislation and compliance. * Vast knowledge of product suitability and compatibility of components. * Cross sector experience and knowledge preferred. * Confidence working with technical drawings and specifications. * Solid understanding of building regulations, industry standards, materials, and construction methods relevant to joinery and fit-out work. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills to liaise effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams
