Reference: 13498Quantity SurveyorLocation: CastlefordWe are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Building team, supporting the commercial delivery of projects across the North East. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key commercial activities across one or more projects, working closely with senior commercial staff and operational teams to ensure successful financial outcomes.You will play an important role in protecting project margins, managing subcontractor accounts, and ensuring accurate cost control and reporting throughout the project lifecycle. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career within a leading Tier 1 contractor environment.As our Quantity Surveyor, you will:Support the commercial management of projects, including cost control, forecasting, and reportingAssist in the procurement and administration of subcontractor packagesManage valuations, variations, and applications for paymentContribute to monthly cost/value reconciliation and financial reportingWork closely with operational teams to support project delivery and identify commercial risks and opportunitiesAbout YouYou will be a motivated and detail-focused Quantity Surveyor with experience in a main contractor environment.You will bring:Experience working on construction projects in a commercial capacityUnderstanding of measurement, valuation, and standard forms of contractStrong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively within a project team environmentGood communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solvingCompetence in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)Experience across sectors such as health, education, commercial, or mixed-use projects is desirable.
