Are you an experienced Microsoft 365 professional looking to take ownership of exciting security and migration projects?

Our client is seeking an M365 Project Engineer to join their technical team, delivering Microsoft 365 security, SharePoint migration and modern workplace solutions across a diverse SME customer base.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role offering significant project ownership, exposure to the latest Microsoft technologies, and the opportunity to work closely with a broad range of businesses. The role is predominantly field-based, with approximately 80% of your time spent on customer sites and the remainder working from home.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering Microsoft 365 projects from initial discovery through to implementation, documentation and client handover. A key focus will be on improving customer security through Microsoft 365 tenant hardening, whilst also leading SharePoint and OneDrive migration projects.

Working directly with clients, you will provide expert guidance, ensure successful project delivery, and occasionally assist with 2nd line technical support where required.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver Microsoft 365 security and tenant hardening projects.

* Configure and manage Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, SSPR and Intune.

* Deploy Microsoft Defender solutions and compliance controls.

* Lead migrations to SharePoint Online and OneDrive.

* Design SharePoint structures, permissions and governance policies.

* Configure and support Microsoft Teams environments.

* Produce technical documentation and client handover materials.

* Support project delivery through testing, change management and user adoption.

* Provide occasional 2nd line support and technical escalation assistance.

* Build strong client relationships through professional service delivery.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* At least 3 years' experience within an MSP or multi-tenant Microsoft 365 environment.

* Proven experience delivering Microsoft 365 migration and security projects.

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams.

* Experience using migration tools such as SharePoint Migration Tool, Migration Manager or ShareGate.

* PowerShell and Microsoft Graph administration experience.

* Excellent troubleshooting, communication and customer-facing skills.

* A full UK driving licence.

Desirable

* Experience with Microsoft Purview.

* macOS support experience.

* Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, MD-102 or equivalent.
