Candidate Requirements

Vice President, Private Credit

Location: London, United Kingdom
Compensation: Competitive and Negotiable

We are partnering with a leading private credit platform seeking to appoint a Vice President to its London investment team. This is an opportunity to join a growing and highly active investor focused on delivering flexible capital solutions to private equity-backed and corporate borrowers across Europe.

The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating, underwriting, executing, and monitoring investments while working closely with senior investment professionals, sponsors, management teams, and advisors.

  • 5-10 years of experience within Private Credit or Leveraged Finance
  • Strong understanding of credit investing, debt structures, and leveraged transactions
  • Proven experience analysing and executing debt transactions across sponsor-backed and non-sponsored situations
  • Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and credit underwriting skills
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to assess risk-adjusted returns
  • Experience interacting with private equity sponsors, management teams, banks, and advisors
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic background

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of private credit transactions from initial screening through to closing
  • Build and review detailed financial models and credit analyses
  • Conduct commercial, financial, and operational due diligence
  • Prepare investment committee papers and recommendations
  • Evaluate capital structures, risk profiles, and downside protection
  • Monitor portfolio investments and support portfolio management activities
  • Develop relationships with private equity sponsors, investment banks, and other market participants
  • Support the origination of new investment opportunities

Why Apply?

This opportunity is particularly attractive for individuals currently working in Leveraged Finance on the sell side who are looking to transition into the buy side. It offers the chance to move from advising on and underwriting transactions to directly assessing opportunities, deploying capital, and influencing investment decisions.

You'll gain exposure to a broad range of sponsor-backed transactions, work closely with investment committees, and play a meaningful role in the investment process from origination through to portfolio management.
