Job ID: 19597Salary: 60 - 75k + pkgLocation: SuffolkRegion: East Anglia, SuffolkA Major Tier 1 Contractor seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of complex ground engineering and geotechnical projects across the UK. This is a key role within the commercial team, responsible for driving value, managing risk, and ensuring strong financial performance from project inception through to final account.You will work closely with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners, contributing to the successful delivery of technically challenging schemes within major infrastructure, highways, rail, energy, and civil engineering sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the commercial management of assigned ground engineering projectsPrepare, manage, and report project budgets, forecasts, and cash flowAdminister contracts, including variations, change control, and final accountsManage subcontract procurement, valuations, and paymentsIdentify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risksProvide accurate cost reporting and commercial advice to project teamsSupport and mentor junior commercial staff where requiredEnsure compliance with company procedures, governance, and commercial best practiceAbout YouProven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or ground engineeringStrong knowledge of NEC forms of contract (NEC3/NEC4 preferred)Experience managing subcontractors and complex supply chainsExcellent commercial, contractual, and negotiation skillsAbility to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary project teamsStrong analytical, reporting, and communication skillsDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)Membership of RICS or working towards chartership (desirable)Why Join them?Work on some of the UK’s most complex and high-profile infrastructure projectsBe part of a specialist ground engineering business within a leading international contractorOpportunities for career progression, professional development, and trainingCompetitive salary and benefits packageA strong focus on safety, sustainability, and wellbeing
