Learning Support Assistant

Prospero Teaching are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Birkenhead. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teachers and the wider support team, providing tailored support to pupils both within the classroom and through targeted interventions. The role will involve helping pupils engage with learning, develop confidence and make positive academic and social progress.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.

• Support children with their learning, development and engagement.

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and preparation.

• Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop independence.

• Promote positive behaviour and support emotional regulation.

• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils.

• Support an inclusive, nurturing and positive learning environment.
