This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior lawyers on high value residential development projects, gaining hands on experience across the full lifecycle of site acquisition, set up and disposal. The team is known for its collaborative culture, strong mentoring and high quality work.The RoleYou'll be responsible for supporting and managing a varied caseload of development land matters, including:Assisting a senior solicitor on development land transactions from instruction through to completionSupporting site acquisitions, including taking instructions, walking the site, advising clients, negotiating transaction documents, title due diligence, funding and completionWorking on affordable housing disposals, infrastructure agreements and general site set upAssisting and supervising Plot Sales Conveyancers on technical mattersHandling a diverse caseload including: - Option Agreements - Promotion Agreements - Strategic Land Assembly - Conditional Sale Agreements - Unconditional sales and purchases - Planning Agreements - Affordable Housing disposals - Development finance - Infrastructure AgreementsSupporting a collaborative, ambitious team cultureMaintaining high professional standards and complianceThe team handles significant development projects, including sites generating over 250 plot sales per year, with continued year on year growth.Work Highlights Include:South Chippenham expansion, outline planning secured for 1,000 unitsComplex land assembly for a site in BathPromotion of a 200+ unit scheme in east WiltshirePurchase of a 300 unit mixed use scheme in OxfordshirePurchase of a consented 55 unit scheme in North Leigh for 5.7mActing for landowners in a major Promotion Agreement with Gleeson HomesCandidate RequirementsThis role is suited to a solicitor with:Experience within the housebuilding or development land sectorStrong technical and drafting skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesConfidence working within a specialist, fast paced environmentHigh attention to detail and accuracyMotivation, organisation and a proactive mindsetAmbition, drive and a desire to excelAbility to work collaboratively with senior colleagues and wider team membersHow to ApplyIf this opportunity sounds of interest or you'd like a confidential conversation about your next career move, please contact:Email: : / At Chadwick Nott, we are committed to developing a diverse and inclusive culture as well as supporting our large client network achieve the same.
