Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Our client, a public sector organisation, is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a contract opportunity. The role will focus on delivering and maintaining secure, resilient infrastructure and platform services that support critical organisational operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building, administering, supporting and maintaining secure and compliant infrastructure and platform solutions
• Applying security best practice to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of organisational data and services
• Providing expert advice on secure environments, configuration management and infrastructure hardening
• Supporting identity and access management, vulnerability management, monitoring and incident response activities
• Maintaining resilient and highly available services in line with departmental policies and security standards
• Driving continuous improvement and automation to enhance security, resilience and operational effectiveness
• Working collaboratively with infrastructure specialists, engineers and teams across the organisation
• Contributing to the ongoing protection of critical services against evolving cyber threats

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in IT infrastructure engineering, administration and support
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, resilience and secure platform design
• Experience with infrastructure hardening, configuration management and vulnerability management
• Knowledge of identity and access management principles and security best practice
• Understanding of monitoring, incident response and operational risk management
• Ability to identify opportunities for automation and continuous service improvement
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide technical advice to varied stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills and a user, service and risk-focused approach
