About the role
The Company
Our client is a specialist manufacturing company. Due to growth, they are recruiting for a Quality Technician.
The Role
* Will be a permanent day shift role.
* To provide support to the Senior Quality Technician and day to day responsible for the QC tests on the raw material chemicals and blended product, environmental and water monitoring program.
* Perform routine environmental monitoring of cleanrooms based at production site.
* Organisation of Environmental monitoring schedule in conjunction with production schedule.
* Carry out microbiological sampling of water from the site purified water system.
* Handle samples in conjunction with documented procedures to prevent cross contamination.
* Maintain accurate and systematic records in accordance with documented procedures.
* Ensure all monitoring equipment is operated as per procedures.
* Work with the production team to drive site forward through continuous improvement.
* Routine testing of products including incoming raw materials, mixed bases (bulk product) and finished products according to approved specifications and procedures.
* Reporting and investigating deviations and out of specification results, helping to identify and implement corrective actions to resolve problems and prevent recurrences.
* Ensuring all records are completed according to GMP guidelines and the approved procedures.
* Perform all duties in accordance with the principles of pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practice and safe working practices.
* Ordering of QC reagent chemicals for testing requirements.
The Person
* Experience of working in quality assurance roles, ideally in a GMP environment.
* Able to perform QMS activities across site (e.g., Deviation management, CAPA, Change control).
* Experience of review and approval of validation and qualification documents essential.
* Microbiology experience beneficial.
* Confident in performing internal audits and hosting site audits with regulators and customers.
* Ability to prioritize workloads.
* Proficient communicator to all levels.
* Able to work quickly and accurately whilst maintaining identified quality standards.
* Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
