Commercial Lead – Rail Bristol (Will Lodge)

You will be working on a live rail project valued at 80m so previous experience working within rail is very much desirable, as well as a good understanding of NEC & NR type contracts as you will be working closely with Network Rail. What we are looking for:Commercial Management experience on Major projects for a first tier contractorExperience of claims production and negotiationExperience using the major forms of contract (NEC, ICE, NR9/12 etc.)A good understanding of construction LawExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organisation and time management skillsWork with the project teams and be involved in all major decisions which would affect the outcome of the projectWork with the project teams to ensure financial controls are in place to monitor the costs and value of work undertakenMaintain and enhance the relationship with the client and work  with the team to deliver the project in a cost effective manner for all partiesPersonal Specification:Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management or similarMember of the Royal Institute of Chartered SurveyorsAt least 10 years experience working for a main contractor within civil engineering, preferably railConsistant background, freelance or hoppy backgrounds are unlikely to be consideredOur client will provide a subsistance allowance for the right candidate so please do not be put off by the location if you plan to relocate.
