ASD TA - Reading, Berkshire
ASAP Start | £85-£105 per day | Full-Time | Long-Term
Are you passionate about supporting children with autism and helping them thrive in a school environment? A welcoming and inclusive school in Reading is looking for a dedicated ASD TA to join its team on a full-time, long-term basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ASD TA who wants to make a genuine difference to pupils' educational journeys. You'll provide tailored support that helps children develop confidence, independence and positive relationships while engaging with their learning.
The Role
As an ASD TA, you will:
Provide focused one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with autism.
Assist with personalised learning, behaviour and development plans.
Support pupils with classroom activities and wider school routines.
Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interaction.
Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and other support staff.
Help create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.
About You
The ideal ASD TA will have:
A caring, patient and understanding approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
The ability to remain calm and adaptable in different situations.
Previous experience working in a school or with pupils with autism is beneficial, but not essential.
