Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

Pay: £95 per day

Start Date: September 2026

Reed Education are seeking a dedicated and experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils within the internal SEND provision of a friendly mainstream primary school in Scunthorpe.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children with complex learning needs, enabling them to access learning opportunities, develop key life skills and thrive within a supportive educational setting.

• Support children with complex learning difficulties on a one-to-one and small group basis.
• Assist with the delivery of personalised learning programmes.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and wider support staff.
• Encourage positive engagement, communication and social interaction.
• Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and personal development.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

• Experience working with children with complex learning needs is essential.
• Minimum relevant Level 2 qualification in Education, Childcare, Teaching Assistant practice or equivalent.
• Understanding of SEND and strategies to support pupils with additional needs.
