Senior Engineer - Fire Engineering

Role

Senior Fire Engineer — you’ll typically be working on a variety of projects from a university in Scotland to a high‑rise residential tower in London, with plenty of international projects. All with the goal of enabling innovative architectural design without compromising fire safety.

Responsibilities

• Run through design information and liaise with other WSP disciplines (Facades, Acoustics and Structures).
• Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service.
• Inform the design team about changes to increase building safety.
• Work with the team on software packages, fire standards, and client updates from the start.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in regular social and development activities.

We will assist the successful candidate toward professional registration via the IFE and other professional bodies.

Qualifications

• BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience within the fire engineering consulting industry.
• This role can be based from any of our UK major offices.

The programme aims to help you work towards chartered status or equivalent professional qualifications.
