About your new roleThe Healthcare Regulatory Professional Discipline Team act for Medical Defence Organisations, insurers, and private clients in regulatory, disciplinary, coronial, and criminal matters. The team has a nationwide reach with fee earners based in London, Leeds, Manchester and Cardiff. The team is highly regarded in this diverse and unique area of work; we are ranked as a tier 1 firm in professional discipline by the legal 500. We are looking for a Solicitor to join the team in Leeds or London. The work would involve advising on Fitness to Practice (GDC/GMC and other Regulatory) Investigations, Inquests, police investigations and Trust disciplinary cases. The roleWe are currently recruiting for a Regulatory Defence Lawyer 3 to 5 years PQE  to join our  team in either  Leeds or London. Main duties and responsibilitiesTake responsibility for cases with minimal supervision*  Achieve set financial and chargeable targets*  Assist other lawyers in the team with their work, including supporting lead advisers and the supervision of more junior lawyers*  Conduct Advocacy including at  pre-inquest review hearings and inquests, where appropriate#LI-HybridAbout YouYou will have previous experience and a genuine and demonstrable interest in the above area of work.We also require you to have/be:EssentialQualified solicitor 3 to 5  years PQEAdvocacy skillsKnowledge in the Healthcare Regulatory fieldExcellent organisational and time management skillsAbility to work to deadlines and targets Good communication skillsExcellent collaborative and team working skillsIf you meet our criteria and think this is a job where you could bring enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn, then we look forward to receiving your application.
