We are recruiting Senior Support Worker to join our service in New Romney, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. About the Service – Beech Care Beech care is situated in a quiet residential area of New Romney and is within easy reach of the amenities. Beech Care is a bungalow, a residential service supporting service users with physical disabilities and learning disabilities. The service users enjoy visiting the local amenities, having a stroll down to the beach, going swimming, bowling, and going out for meals and picnics. The kitchen has been adapted with easy access for the service users go into the kitchen to do cooking/ baking. Beech care has its own sensory room for the service users to enjoy relaxing music and lights. Beech Care currently supports 5 service users 4 female and 1 male, they need support with physical disabilities. To supervise and lead a team of support workers to enable our service users to lead as fulfilling and satisfying a life as they possibly can. To act as a role model for staff, so that they are encouraged to understand the people you are support. To participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment. To work as part of a team to provide high quality care. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is essential. Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues. Confidence to work alone and as part of a team. The passion to work with vulnerable Adults. The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding.
