About the role

A client of ours in the Benfleet area are recruiting an Education Administrator (MIS & Bursary Support) to join their team. This is a temporary position starting ASAP until 31st July 2026, working Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 4:30pm and paying £14.00 - £16.00 per hour depending on experience. This role would suit someone with previous MIS or administrative experience within a Further Education (FE) College, sixth form, training provider, or wider education setting. Your key duties in this Administrator role will include but are not limited to: Supporting the day-to-day processing of bursary applications, including logging, eligibility checks, and communication with students Maintaining accurate records of bursary awards in line with internal policies, FE funding criteria, and compliance requirements Liaising with Finance, Student Services, and curriculum teams to ensure timely payments and resolve queries Assisting with reports relating to bursary uptake, learner funding, expenditure, and impact Supporting data protection processes, including maintaining records and assisting with Subject Access Requests (SARs) Assisting with FE MIS administration tasks, including student records, data accuracy, and compliance-related processes Supporting the wider MIS and Exams function in line with departmental priorities Providing general administrative support including scheduling meetings, managing documentation, and minute-takingSkills and Experience required to be considered for this role: Previous experience within an MIS, Exams, Student Records, Funding, or administrative role within Further Education (FE) highly desirable Knowledge of FE funding, learner records, bursary administration, or ILR processes advantageous Experience using FE systems such as EBS, ProSolution, UNIT-e, Maytas, Tribal or similar desirable Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital filing systems Excellent communication and organisational skills Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles, including GDPR A proactive approach with the ability to manage a varied workload If you feel like you meet the above criteria and would like to be considered for this position, please apply with your CV and Laura will be in touch. #accountsjobs
