Utilities Services Manager – Residential DeveloperLondon£70,000 - £75,000 + Car Allowance Ashbys Consulting are currently recruiting for a Utilities Services Manager to work for a leading developer in London.You will be involved in managing the relationships with all utility companies, supporting the pre-construction and operations teams, setting strategy, and delivering it through the management and leadership of the team.Duties:Maintain procedures and guidance documentsIdentify project team needs and create a look ahead plan with key timings and actions for all utilities servicesAssist the pre-construction team in engaging with third parties to ascertain site constraints, local infrastructure constraints and advise on any foreseen risks or impacts to the projectProvide technical assistance to early-stage design proposals where necessary as part of land acquisition due diligenceAssist the pre-construction team by engaging with utility suppliers to acquire budgetary quotationsEngage with Utility suppliers to source the most economical point of connection and where applicable progress with the PoC to secure future connection and loadAssist with new Water, Gas and Electrical loadsAssist with Electrical Sub-Station requirementsKeep up-to-date with changes in the industry, legislation and latest practices and G81 updatesReview Utilities design / provision at RIBA design stages 2, 3 and 4Review associated utility services requirements e.g. builders work, fire protection, ducts, diverse routes, ventilation etc.Liaise with the Construction team to understand their needs for temporary services provision and arrange quotesSkills: Must be 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.Must have experience working with all Utility disciplines.Experience of planning and co-ordinating services or site activities.Experience of managing a small team.Site experience.Good understanding of the Electrical aspects associated with Sub-Stations, cable sizing, 3-phase supplies, HV / LVGood verbal and written communication skillsIntermediate knowledge of MS officeAbility to read technical drawings and schematicsPlease get in touch with Cameron on, / / to hear more about this opportunity.
