Site Engineer – New build shed Location: Preston Role: Site Engineer Start date: 4th September Project: New Build Steel-Framed Shed We are currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer / Site Manager to join a construction project in Preston, working on a new-build steel-framed shed. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strong engineering and setting-out support. An in date SMSTS and 3-day 1st Aid is required. Key Responsibilities Setting out foundations, steelwork and associated structures. Checking levels, coordinates and dimensions. Reading and interpreting construction and engineering drawings. Working closely with steel erectors and groundworkers. Carrying out quality checks and ensuring works are completed to specification. Monitoring progress and identifying any technical issues on site. Liaising with subcontractors and the wider site team. Maintaining accurate site records and engineering documentation. Ensuring all works are carried out safely and efficiently. Requirements In date SMSTS and 3-day 1st Aid Previous experience as a Site Engineer on steel frame, industrial or commercial projects. Strong setting-out experience. Good understanding of groundworks and structural steelwork. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Confident using engineering equipment and site technology. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Relevant qualifications and site experience
