About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified actuary or quantitatively minded insurance professional to gain exposure to sophisticated pricing techniques, work closely with underwriting teams, and contribute directly to business performance in a dynamic and highly visible role.Joining a well-established and collaborative team, you'll play a key role in enhancing pricing capabilities across a diverse Financial Lines portfolio while continuing to develop your technical and commercial expertise.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and enhancement of pricing models across Financial Lines classes.Produce pricing analyses and portfolio insights to inform underwriting and business decisions.Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging trends, opportunities, and areas of concern.Collaborate with underwriters to provide pricing guidance and challenge where appropriate.Assist with rate adequacy assessments and profitability reviews.Contribute to pricing projects, model validation activities, and process improvements.Analyse large datasets and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Support the delivery of pricing strategies aligned with portfolio and business objectives.RequirementsPart-qualified GI actuary making progress towards FIA qualificationExperience within insurance pricing essentialExposure to commercial insurance, specialty insurance, or Financial Lines business strongly preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.Experience using tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar analytical software.Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with underwriting teams.Commercially minded and proactive approach.BenefitsA successful business with an excellent culture and reputation.Broad exposure to Financial Lines pricing and portfolio management.Strong study support policy and professional development opportunities.Excellent wider compensation package, including 15% annual bonus, 10% employer pension contribution, private medical insurance, and dental insuranceA collaborative environment where your work has a direct impact on business performance.Clear scope for progression within a growing and well-invested pricing function.Eames Consulting is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
