Assistant Principal Higher: Project Manager
Health and Safety Authority (HSA)
Location : Dublin HQ or a regional office (by agreement), with a nationwide remit
Contract : Full-time, 3-year fixed-term contract (9-month probation)
Salary : €91,229 – €107,164, plus long service increments to €114,069 (starting at the first point)

About the HSA
The Health and Safety Authority is Ireland's national regulator for workplace safety, health and welfare. It also regulates the safe use and transport of chemicals and acts as Ireland's national accreditation body through INAB.
About the role
Join the HSA's Corporate Services Division and lead the projects shaping its future. Working with senior management and external partners, you'll deliver strategic and transformation initiatives across digital, organisational development, workplace change and service improvement.
What you'll do
- Lead the delivery of significant organisational projects and transformation initiatives
- Set up strong project governance, planning, reporting and risk management
- Lead organisational change, from stakeholder engagement to benefits realisation
- Support senior decision-making with clear project information and reporting
- Embed project management methodology and best practice across the HSA
What you'll need
Essential :
- A Level 8 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- At least five years' experience leading complex projects or programmes with multiple stakeholders
- A proven track record in project governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement
- Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills
- Experience driving organisational change and new systems or ways of working
Desirable : a project management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, Agile or equivalent), digital transformation experience, experience with senior teams and delivery partners, and a background in business improvement or benefits realisation.
