You’ll be joining our

Highways maintenance

team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What you'll be doing

U

ndertake highway condition safety inspections in accordance with, Peterborough City Council, Highway Maintenance Plan within monthly assigned period. Driven and walked Inspections.

Identify and issue accurate works order to instruct effective defect repairs and carry out risk assessment of site and identify hazards.

Inspect works carried out by Utility Companies, in accordance with New Roads and Street Works Act regulations and Enforce the Authority’s obligations under the Traffic Management Act with regards to Street Works issues

Manage individual highways budget allocation to meet PCC spend requirements.

Ensure all variations to work are agreed with operational teams and signed off.

Manage enquires and complaints from members of the public, Members and Senior officers on all Highway related matters.

rovide reports and information regarding Third Party insurance claims.

Participate in Out of hours and Winter Duty Officer Duties.

Liaise with Neighbourhoods, Parish Councils, Residents/Community Groups, Utilities and the public to foster a greater understanding of the Councils work, explaining and dealing with complex matters

What you'll bring

Experience within the Highways Maintenance industry

CSCS, NRSWA and Lantra accreditation in highways safety inspections

Full

UK Driving licence

Experience with products and materials used within Highway Maintenance. IT skills as all work issued electronically

Able to identify all hazards and risks associated with Highway works previous experience desirable

Good General IT skills are essential

Ability to meet budget and deadline targets

Ability to manage various stakeholder relations with client members, local government and interest groups
