NPI Engineer / New Product Introduction Engineer

£40,000 - £45,000 + Technical Development + Project Ownership + Day Shift + Benefits

West Midlands (Commutable from: Dudley, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Halesowen, Kidderminster, West Bromwich, Stourbridge, Walsall, Bromsgrove)

Monday - Friday (Days)

Are you an NPI Engineer looking for a role where you can take real ownership of new product introduction, drive "right first time" standards, and work hands-on with data, cross-functional teams and customers to deliver prototypes into series production?

On offer is a permanent, day-shift position in a progressive, heavy engineering manufacturer where you will play a key part in improving efficiency and service delivery, supporting prototype manufacture, and embedding quality-led processes from kick-off through to shipment.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders and multiple departments (from production and quality through to tooling, pattern-shop and external suppliers), with a strong focus on structured reporting, clear communication and measurable checkpoints.

In this role you will support APQP/PPAP-style activities, use quality tools such as DFMEA/PFMEA and control plans, reduce internal/external scrap, and help develop manufacturing methods (including gating/feeding and process optimisation) to improve yield and casting quality.

This role would suit an NPI / Quality / Manufacturing Engineer looking to broaden their technical exposure, take end-to-end responsibility for NPI quality and prototype delivery, and be recognised for driving continuous improvement.

The Role:

Project managing quality aspects of NPI and prototype manufacture, from kick-off to pre-production
Coordinating cross-functional action plans across two sites
Using quality tools (DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans) and supporting PPAP / APQP-style requirements
Driving yield improvement, scrap reduction, and "right first time" manufacturing culture
The Person:

Background in NPI / quality / manufacturing engineering within an engineering / production environment
Comfortable coordinating stakeholders and communicating clearly with customers and senior teams
Confident using Excel and Word and working in a structured, data-driven way
Reference Number: BBBH(phone number removed)
