The role
You will work on a varied range of corporate tax matters, including:

- Assisting with tax clearances and stamp duty issues arising from transactions and restructurings;
- Supporting clients on VAT and international tax matters, as well as tax disputes;
- Drafting and negotiating tax deeds and warranties in connection with corporate transactions;
- Advising businesses on eligibility for tax-efficient investment, including EIS and SEIS;
- Preparing applications to HMRC and certificates for investors; and
- Assisting with the establishment of employee share incentive arrangements.
Alongside the technical work, you will communicate directly with clients, take instructions and help manage matters on a day-to-day basis. You will also contribute to business development activity and the maintenance of relevant marketing materials.
The candidate
Applications are sought from lawyers with 2-5 years' post-qualification experience. You should have strong written and verbal communication skills, confidence in client-facing situations and the ability to manage a busy workload accurately and efficiently.
You will need to be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, prioritising competing demands and delivering commercially focused advice. Good organisational skills, attention to detail and confidence using Microsoft Office are also required.
