Setting Out Engineer - Water Location: Steyning, West Sussex Rate: Competitive, Dependent on experience Duration: Long-term Contract I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a civil engineering contractor delivering water infrastructure projects for Southern Water in West Sussex. This is a long-term opportunity working on a range of clean water and wastewater schemes, including pipelines, drainage, reinforced concrete structures and associated civils. Responsibilities Setting out for pipelines, drainage, chambers and reinforced concrete structures Interpreting drawings and technical specifications Producing accurate as-built records and QA documentation Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring works meet specification Supporting the Site Agent and Project Manager with daily site activities Monitoring subcontractors and reporting site progress Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety on site Requirements Previous experience as a Setting Out/Site Engineer on civil engineering projects Water or utilities experience is highly desirable Strong setting out experience using GPS and Total Station equipment Experience producing QA documentation and as-built records CSCS Card Full UK Driving Licence This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor with a strong pipeline of AMP8 work across Sussex and the South East.
