Workshop Labourer

Location: Sunderland Pay Rate: 💷 £12.71 per hour PAYE Hours: 🕒 07:30 – 16:30, Monday to Friday Overtime: Limited overtime available, paid at x1.5 We are currently recruiting for a Labourer to join an established engineering operation in Sunderland. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience working in an engineering, manufacturing or workshop environment. FLT Counterbalance experience is highly desirable. The Role As a Workshop Labourer, your duties will include: * General labouring and housekeeping duties within the engineering workshop * Assisting skilled engineers and workshop personnel with day-to-day tasks * Moving and handling materials around the workshop * Loading and unloading materials where required * Keeping work areas clean, tidy and organised * Following health and safety procedures at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will ideally have: * Previous experience in an engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment * Experience carrying out general labouring or workshop duties * FLT Counterbalance experience/certification – desirable * A good attitude towards work and a willingness to learn * Good awareness of workplace health and safety What's on Offer? * £12.71 per hour PAYE * Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30 * Days only – no night shifts * Limited overtime available at x1.5 * Duration - Initially 2-4 weeks If you have workshop, engineering or industrial labouring experience and are looking for a Monday-to-Friday role in Sunderland, we'd like to hear from you.
