Kitchen Porter – Temporary Ongoing Role Location: South Kensington, London Hours: Monday–Friday | Flexible shifts, typically 11am–4pm, 9am–5pm or similar Contract: Temporary, ongoing We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking and conscientious Kitchen Porter to join our team at a busy, fast-paced café in South Kensington. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in keeping things clean and organised, and is happy to get stuck in wherever needed. The Role As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play an important role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly. You’ll be working alongside the kitchen and front-of-house teams in a busy environment where teamwork, speed and cleanliness are essential. Your responsibilities will include: * Washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment * Keeping the kitchen and work areas clean and organised * Supporting chefs and the wider kitchen team * Keeping equipment and surfaces clean throughout service * Taking out rubbish and maintaining waste areas * Helping with deliveries and putting stock away * Assisting with basic kitchen duties when required * Following food hygiene and health & safety standards * Keeping on top of cleaning during busy periods About You We’re looking for someone who is: * Hardworking, reliable and conscientious * A positive team player * Punctual and well organised * Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment * Happy to get stuck in and help wherever needed * Able to work efficiently under pressure * Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness * Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred, but a good attitude and strong work ethic are most important
