Part-time Night Porter - Flexible Hours & Shifts

Working as part of a small team, the Porter plays a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through the auction process, from intake and storage through to auction presentation and post-sale collections. The role includes regular manual handling, working to tight deadlines, and supporting both operational and customer-facing activities. This role includes regular manual handling and lifting; Previous experience in a manual handling, warehouse, logistics, or similar environment would be advantageous, but not essential.
Training, Education & Qualifications
full training will be provided where necessary.
Full UK driving licence required. Skills, Abilities & Personal Qualities
Physically capable of manual handling and moving items safely.
Team player with a flexible and proactive approach.
Support customer collections, ensuring items are retrieved efficiently and accurately.
Support online bidding clerking and general auction day operations where required.
Assist with basic photography of items where needed (training provided).
Work in line with company procedures to ensure the safeguarding of client assets.
Support other areas of the business with ad-hoc operational tasks as required.
Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, with 1 hour for lunch. (PLUS 4 Saturdays per annum, 9.00 am to 2.00 pm to support our quarterly Fine Auctions and 4 Tuesdays per annum, working an additional 2 hours for late night viewing until 7.00 pm. Full-time (flexible or part-time working considered).
