Manufacturing Manager

Are you an experienced Factory Manager or Senior Production Manager looking for your next challenge within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment?

We are working with an established food manufacturing business looking to appoint an experienced Backshift Factory Manager to take ownership of its evening and night-time manufacturing operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader who can motivate teams, drive operational performance and maintain the highest standards of food safety, quality and efficiency.

The Role

Reporting into senior site management, you will take responsibility for the successful running of backshift production operations, ensuring the site delivers against its operational and commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

Taking full responsibility for day-to-day backshift factory operations.

*

Leading, managing and developing production teams and shift management.

*

Ensuring production plans and targets are achieved efficiently.

*

Driving improvements in productivity, labour efficiency and waste reduction.

*

Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, quality and health & safety.

*

Monitoring KPIs and implementing corrective actions where required.

*

Managing labour planning, resource allocation and shift performance.

*

Working closely with Engineering, Technical and other departments to ensure operational continuity.

*

Developing a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.

About You

We are keen to speak with experienced manufacturing professionals who can demonstrate:

*

Previous experience in a Factory Manager, Production Manager, Operations Manager or Senior Shift Manager position.

*

A strong background within food manufacturing.

*

Experience managing large production teams within a fast-paced environment.

*

A proven track record of improving productivity, efficiency and operational standards.

*

Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, GMP and health & safety.

*

Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

*

The ability to take ownership of a shift and make confident operational decisions.

Experience within meat, poultry, chilled food or high-care manufacturing would be advantageous.
