A leading financial services organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Procurement Lead to take ownership of a broad and commercially significant portfolio of indirect spend.
This is a senior role covering a varied range of categories, which may include Marketing, Professional Services, Outsourcing, HR, Technology and Corporate Services. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to shape category strategies, lead complex commercial programmes and improve how the organisation manages its key supplier relationships.
The successful candidate will bring strong indirect procurement experience, excellent commercial judgement and the credibility to influence senior stakeholders across a large and highly regulated organisation.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and deliver procurement strategies across a broad portfolio of indirect spend
- Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business priorities and provide commercial guidance from the earliest stages of activity
- Lead complex sourcing programmes, supplier negotiations and contract renewals
- Challenge requirements, scopes and commercial models to improve value, transparency and business outcomes
- Identify opportunities to consolidate spend, improve supplier arrangements and introduce more effective ways of working
- Strengthen supplier performance and relationship management across strategically important contracts
- Support stakeholders in navigating commercial risk, governance and regulatory requirements
- Provide procurement leadership across high-profile and business-critical programmes
- Contribute to the continued development of procurement capability, processes and category management across the organisation
What we are looking for:
You will be an accomplished procurement professional with experience managing complex indirect categories within a large corporate environment.
Required experience:
- A track record of leading complex sourcing, negotiation and supplier management programmes
- The ability to operate across categories such as Marketing, Professional Services, Outsourcing, HR, Technology or Corporate Services
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and constructively challenging established requirements
- Strong commercial judgement and a record of delivering measurable value beyond cost savings
- Experience within financial services, another regulated industry or a similarly complex organisation
- The leadership capability to manage high-profile programmes and provide direction to stakeholders and procurement colleagues
