Part-Time Finance Manager
Nailsea, Bristol | Part-Time | Office-Based with Flexible Hours- 30-35 hrsAre you an experienced finance professional looking for a role where you can take full ownership of the finance function and play a key part in the success of a growing business?An established and ambitious business based in Nailsea are seeking a Part-Time Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in construction finance who enjoys working independently, improving processes, and providing meaningful financial insight to support decision-making.
The OpportunityAs Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, and strong financial controls across the business. Working closely with the leadership team, you'll provide key financial information that helps drive commercial performance and support continued growth.Key Responsibilities
Manage the company's financial and management accounts
Oversee accounts payable processes and supplier payments
Process monthly payroll
Carry out job costing and monitor project profitability
Manage subcontractor orders and purchase orders
Produce cash flow forecasts and perform bank reconciliations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Prepare financial reports and management information
Ensure compliance with relevant financial and industry regulations
Support business planning through detailed financial analysis and reporting
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a proactive, organised finance professional with the confidence to manage a finance function independently.
Essential Experience & Skills:
Previous finance experience within the construction industry
Strong financial and management accounting knowledge
Proven experience in job costing and project profitability analysis
Experience using Sage Accounts
Good understanding of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme)
Advanced Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines independently
