Vobster Architectural is seeking an enthusiastic and reliableMaintenance Operative to join our team at our Head Office near Radstock. As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in maintaining our factory and yard environments, ensuring our facilities, equipment, and site assets remain safe, efficient, and fit for purpose. This is a varied, hands-on position that would suit someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in maintaining high standards. Job Details

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance to site assets, including, but not limited to: Building Maintenance:

Conduct repairs to walls, floors, roofs, gutters, doors, fences, and other site infrastructure. Property Services:

Carry out painting, decorating, and flooring works as required. Mechanical & Technical Tasks:

Undertake minor plumbing and basic electrical maintenance tasks. Safety & Compliance:

Conduct routine health and safety checks, including fire safety inspections, and help ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Daily Maintenance:

Complete planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities to support operational efficiency. Grounds & External Areas:

Perform basic landscaping, cleaning, and grounds maintenance duties as required. Parts Store Management:

Organise and maintain the parts store, ensuring appropriate stock levels are available to support maintenance activities. Person Specification Essential

Proven experience in a similar maintenance role, such as Maintenance Operative, Handyman, Caretaker, Facilities Assistant, or General Maintenance Person. Competent in the safe use of hand and power tools. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Positive attitude with a flexible and proactive approach to work. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards. Desirable

Experience carrying out maintenance within a manufacturing, engineering, construction, or industrial environment. Carpentry NVQ qualification. Forklift and/or Telehandler licence. Benefits
