Job summaryNewham University Hospital, part of the Barts Health NHS Trust Group is looking for a full time Respiratory Consultant to join our dynamic Respiratory team.This post is a permanent post with a subspecialty focus on lung cancer and intervention (pleural). The appointee will work alongside 5 established respiratory consultants in a brand new, purpose-built respiratory unit.The successful candidate will contribute to inpatient general respiratory care, and a 1 in 18 acute unselected medical rota. The respiratory rota is generously filled with trainees and innovative fellow roles (intervention and quality improvement fellowships). The Respiratory team have been highlighted for their high rates of satisfaction across the annual staff survey 2023. The post holder will be expected to contribute to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff and other professional groups. They will support audit, clinical governance and improvement work happening across the department. Main duties of the jobTo contribute to the provision of a comprehensive and efficient acute and specialist Respiratory Medicine service at Barts Health NHS Trust.To deliver excellence in care for patients admitted on acute unselected medical take.
