Operating across a wide geographic region, the team works on a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from small private developments to large-scale infrastructure and housing schemes. Your new roleAs a Senior Ecologist, you’ll take on a leadership role within the consultancy, supporting both clients and junior team members. Key responsibilities include:Mentoring and managing junior ecologistsLeading ecological surveys and assessments (e.g., UKHab, protected species, EcIA)Providing ecological advice across internal teams and to external clientsManaging projects and producing technical reports and ecological management plansLiaising with stakeholders and regulatory bodiesEnsuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practiceWhat you'll need to succeedMinimum 5 years’ experience in ecological consultancyAt least one protected species licenceFull membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIEEM – desirable)Strong skills in habitat and protected species surveys (PEA, UKHab, BNG, bats, badger, water vole, etc.)Excellent communication and report-writing skillsExperience preparing fee proposals and risk assessmentsAbility to manage and analyse ecological dataFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicleWhat you'll get in returnFully remote workingFlexible hours and TOIL system28 days annual leavePrivate health insurancePension schemeAnnual team events and functionsWhat you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
