Data Entry / Office Assistant

Job Description

Responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining company records and databases while providing basic customer service support. Ensures information is recorded correctly, documents are organised, and customer enquiries are handled professionally and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

* Entering and updating customer details, orders, invoices, and other information into the company database.

* Checking data for accuracy and correcting any errors or missing information.

* Maintaining and organising electronic and paper records.

* Responding to customer enquiries by telephone, email, and in person where required.

* Providing basic information about products, services, orders, and account details.

* Assisting with customer complaints and referring complex issues to the appropriate department.

* Processing orders, updating customer records, and monitoring order status.

* Filing documents, scanning paperwork, and carrying out general administrative duties.

* Supporting colleagues and other departments with data entry and administrative tasks.

* Maintaining confidentiality and handling customer information in line with company policies.

Skills and Requirements

* Good attention to detail and accuracy.

* Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

* Friendly and professional telephone manner.

* Ability to organise workload and meet deadlines.

* Good customer service and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Previous experience in data entry, administration, or customer service is desirable
