This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer to work within a critical power generation environment, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of mechanical plant and equipment. The main responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer will include. * Carrying out planned, preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance across the power station. * Maintaining, inspecting and repairing a wide range of mechanical plant and rotating equipment, ensuring assets remain safe, reliable and fully operational. * Working on equipment including pumps, valves, compressors, fans, conveyors, gearboxes, motors and associated mechanical systems. * Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out effective repairs to minimise equipment downtime and maintain plant availability. * Completing routine inspections and identifying potential mechanical issues before they develop into major failures. * Working safely in accordance with site procedures, permit-to-work systems and relevant health and safety legislation. * Supporting the wider engineering team during planned maintenance outages and shutdowns.
