The successful candidate will be involved in pricing a varied portfolio of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, footpaths and general infrastructure works.
The Role As Senior Civils Estimator, you will play a key role in the tendering process, preparing accurate and competitive estimates while identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
Working closely with the wider commercial, operational and pre-construction teams, you will help ensure tenders are thoroughly assessed, competitively priced and commercially viable.
Responsibilities will include:
Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects.

Pricing tenders for roads, bridges, footpaths and general civil engineering works.

Analysing drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and tender documentation.

Obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations.

Preparing take-offs, material quantities, labour costs, plant costs and subcontract packages.

Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and potential value engineering solutions.

Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.

Reviewing tender documentation and ensuring submissions meet client requirements.

Working closely with project delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover following successful tender awards.

Contributing to tender reviews, bid strategies and the ongoing development of the estimating function.

About You You will be an experienced Estimator or Senior Estimator with a background in civil engineering, infrastructure or general civils.
You should have experience pricing projects such as roads, bridges, footpaths, highways or associated infrastructure works, together with a strong understanding of construction costs, subcontractor procurement and tender preparation.
You will be commercially aware, detail-oriented and confident managing tenders from initial enquiry through to submission.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams are essential.
