About the role
Are you a hands-on professional looking for a challenging role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Coys Materials is seeking a dedicated Production Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating our Cavity Finishing line, ensuring we meet production schedules while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
You will play a key part in maximizing resource utilization and minimizing costs, directly contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional service and product quality to our customers.
Working Monday-Thursday 6am-6pm Days.
Key Responsibilities
Machinery Operation: Safely operate the Cavity Finishing line and pallet wrapping machines in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Quality Assurance: Conduct routine quality checks and accurately complete documentation to ensure products meet strict specifications.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machinery to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to boost production efficiency and product quality.
Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by strictly adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies.
Flexible Support: Provide support across the factory floor as needed, including covering breaks, absences, and assisting in other areas to meet business demands.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Success in this role will be measured by:
Cavity Output: Volume of products manufactured within specified timeframes.
Quality: Compliance with product quality standards and a reduction in defects/rejections.
Machine Utilisation: Minimization of downtime and maximization of operational efficiency.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality control, and machinery operation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform repetitive tasks without compromising quality.
- Excellent manual dexterity and a strong commitment to following safety protocols.

- A proactive problem-solver who can work independently as well as part of a team.
- A team player with a "can-do" attitude, willing to support across different areas of the factory.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and adapt to different tasks as required.
