Quantity Surveyor - Yorkshire Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Yorkshire team, delivering high-spec commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS who enjoys being heavily involved across the full project lifecycle - not just cost management. The business is looking for a strong all-rounder with the ability to work at pace within a fast-moving Tier 1 fit-out environment. Salary & Package: £70,000 - £85,000 DOE Car allowance Bonus Private healthcare Pension Excellent long-term progression opportunities The successful candidate will be involved in: Pricing and tendering projects Cost planning and budgeting Managing client contracts and subcontract packages Negotiating subcontractor packages and monthly valuations Managing variations and applications for payment Challenging design against budget constraints Identifying commercial risk and finding practical solutions Protecting and maximising project margins throughout delivery The ideal candidate will have: Commercial fit-out or refurbishment experience Strong contract knowledge, including JCT Excellent negotiation and commercial skills Ability to manage multiple projects within fast-paced environments Strong attention to detail and commercial instinct Experience working closely with both operational and pre-construction teamsThis role would suit someone from either a Tier 1 background or a smaller contractor where they've gained wider commercial exposure across projects
