Location: Richmond, North Yorkshire Team: Family Safeguarding Contract: Locum / Ongoing Requirement: Minimum 3+ years post-qualified permanent experience 🌟 About the Role We are seeking an experienced Family Safeguarding Social Worker to join a supportive and collaborative Children's Social Care team in Richmond, North Yorkshire. You will play a key role in safeguarding children and supporting families through strengths-based, relationship-focused practice. The service operates within statutory frameworks including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, ensuring safe and positive outcomes for children and young people. 🏡 Working Pattern Flexibility reviewed based on service needs and performance 📊 Caseload Manageable average caseload of 20-24 children and families 🔑 Key Responsibilities Manage and prioritise cases allocated by your Team Manager Undertake assessments of children and families, making evidence-based recommendations Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to achieve the best outcomes Maintain accurate case records and produce high-quality reports Present evidence in court where required Actively engage in supervision and performance reviews Ensure all work aligns with statutory duties and best practice standards 🤝 Partnership & Multi-Agency Working Promote a strong culture of interagency collaboration Engage effectively with statutory, voluntary and private sector partners Contribute to assessment, planning, and commissioning of services Ensure coordinated support for children and families ✅ Requirements Qualified Social Worker with 3+ years post-qualification permanentexperience (essential - DfE compliant) Registered with Social Work England Enhanced DBS check Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience in child safeguarding and statutory social work 💡 Why Apply?
